Why Docki

Active recall + spaced repetition

The two best-studied ways to remember for the long term, built into every deck.

Each dot is a review. Memory resets to full and then fades more slowly than before.

Retrieve, don’t reread

Every card asks before it tells. Pulling the answer out of memory is what makes it stick — rereading only feels like learning.

Right before you forget

The FSRS scheduler learns how well you know each card and brings it back just as it starts to fade. Each review keeps it longer.

Honest self-grading

Again, Hard, Good or Easy — one tap or one key. Type the answer when you want to be strict with yourself.

Features

Everything you need to learn and keep it

From the first lesson to the hundredth review.

Vocabulary decks

Pick the language you learn and the one you think in. Each word becomes a card with a photo, meaning, pronunciation with audio, an example sentence and its translation — filled in for you.

AI writes your cards

AI reads the deck’s Document and drafts flashcards and quizzes, each linked to the section it came from. It also checks what your cards still miss.

Select to learn

Select any passage of a Document to have it explained, simplified or illustrated with an example — or add it straight to a card.

Edit with AI

Turn a paragraph into a diagram or a table, rewrite it more clearly, make bullet points or fix the spelling. Review the change before it lands.

Every device, in sync

Your decks, documents and progress are saved to your account and follow you from laptop to phone. Study on the bus, edit at your desk.

DesktopTabletPhone

Swipe & smooth animations

On a phone, swipe a card right or left like a deck of cards; on a desktop, use the keyboard. Cards flip, fly and spring back smoothly.

Anki integration

Bring the decks you already have: import .apkg and .colpkg packages with their images and audio, and choose whether each becomes a knowledge or a vocabulary deck.

.apkg.colpkgMedia included

Read aloud

Natural voices read your Documents and play the pronunciation when a vocabulary card flips.

Type the answer

Type what you remember and see exactly what you got right, letter by letter.

Quizzes

Check a whole lesson at once with a quiz AI writes from the deck’s Document.

Rich cards

Bold, colors, lists, code, images, audio, video and Mermaid diagrams — on both sides of a card.

Progress you can see

Today’s queue and stats show what’s due, what you’ve learned and how your memory is growing.

AI support

Select a passage. Ask about it. Keep it.

Your Document is the source of truth. AI works on the part you point at, and you decide what stays.

Cognitive science › Memory

How retrieval strengthens memory

Reading a page again feels productive, but it mostly builds familiarity. Retrieval practice — recalling information without looking — forces the brain to rebuild the path to a memory, and every rebuild makes the next one easier. Spacing those attempts out over growing intervals turns short-term effort into long-term knowledge.

AIExplain

When you try to recall something, your brain has to search for it and reconnect the pieces. That effort is the workout: the link gets stronger each time, so the memory comes back faster and lasts longer.

How it works

Three steps, then a habit

    1

    Add a Document

Write a lesson, paste your notes or a chapter, or import an Anki deck. For vocabulary, just list the words.

    2

    Let AI make the cards

Generate flashcards and quizzes from the Document. Edit anything — every card keeps a link to where it came from.

    3

    Review a little every day

Recall, grade yourself, move on. Docki schedules each card so a few minutes a day keeps everything fresh.

Anki integration

Import .apkg and .colpkg packages — cards, images and audio — keeping their deck structure. Turn them into vocabulary decks to get photos, pronunciation and examples.

Start remembering what you learn.

Write a lesson, let AI turn it into cards, review a few minutes a day. Docki handles the rest.
